Here it is the ultimate winter margarita you’ve been waiting for! This Beergarita is made with fresh blood orange juice, ice cold beer, and tequila—duh.
1 lime, halved
Chili salt, for rimming glass
Juice of 1 blood orange
Juice of 1/2 a lime
2 ounces añejo tequila
1/2 ounce Cointreau, or other orange liqueur
1 bottle cold beer (dark craft brew or your favorite beer)
blood orange slices, for garnish
Rim a pint glass by rubbing the lime half around the rim and dipping in chili salt. Fill glass with ice.
Combine blood orange juice, lime juice, tequila, and Cointreau in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously.
Strain into prepared glass, top with beer, stir and garnish with a blood orange slice (sugar-dipped and brûléed, if you fancy).
