California Kir Royale Pomegranate Cocktail

Festive Kir Royale Cocktail using California sparkling wine! It’s an effortless three-ingredient cocktail perfect for the holidays.



For the rim:

1/4 cup granulated sugar

zest of 1 lime

For the cocktail:

1 bottle California Sparkling Wine, well chilled

6 ounces pomegranate liqueur

1/2 cup fresh California pomegranate arils

To garnish: 

Fresh rosemary sprigs

slices of lime


Rim the glasses. Combine sugar and lime zest in a shallow dish. Wet the rims of 6 champagne flutes with either water or lime juice and dip in the sugar-lime zest mixture.

Make the cocktail: Pour 1 ounce of pomegranate liqueur in the bottom of each glass. Top with chilled sparkling wine and divide pomegranate arils between the glasses.

Garnish. Place a long rosemary sprig in each glass as a stirrer and a few lime slices if you’d like. ¡Salúd!
