Mexican Tuna Salad Recipe

A vibrant take on the classic tuna salad recipe with flavors of Mexico like jalapeños, avocados, and lime.


  • 2 (6 1/2 ounce) cans tuna packed in oil
  • 2 jalapeños, seeded and thinly sliced
  • 1 avocado, peeled and diced
  • 1 small cucumber, peeled and diced
  • 1 large shallot, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh-squeezed lime juice
  • 4 ounces mixed greens, washed and thoroughly dried


  1. Combine tuna (oil and all), jalapeños, avocado, cucumber, shallot, and lime juice in a medium bowl. Season with salt. 
  2. Divide greens between 4 plates, top with tuna salad and serve.
