- Combine: In a large pitcher, stir together 2 cups fresh orange juice, 2 1/2 cups cold water, 2–3 tablespoons granulated sugar or honey, and 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice until the sweetener dissolves completely.

- Separation is normal: Natural citrus juice tends to settle as it sits in the fridge. Simply give the pitcher a quick stir before pouring.
- Best orange varieties: Navel oranges work great year-round, while Valencia oranges give the sweetest flavor and brightest color when in season.
- Pulp preference: For a silky texture, pour the freshly squeezed juice through a fine-mesh strainer. If you prefer a pulpier drink, leave it unstrained.
