Some mornings are triple berry pancakes kind of mornings. Some are more milkshake. To be perfectly honest I wish all mornings started with pancakes and milkshakes but I’m a grown ass woman who knows better.
Occasionally I can fool myself into thinking I’m having a milkshake morning by making a creamy smoothie, which works grand and is completely satisfying, especially on a hot summer day. I’ll be honest to say I am no expert when it comes to smoothies. There are typically a few combos that I stick with and that’s about it. So I was especially interested in the chapters on how to best layer your smoothie for easy blending and how to add salt and spice to compliment and boost the flavor of your smoothies.
Some smoothies I’m dying to try are:
- Raspberry Lime Green Tea
- Mocha Coffee Chip
- Concord Grape + Greens
- Piña Colada
This Peaches and Cream beauty however is going on steady rotation this summer. We’ve been buying peaches by the flat at the Farmer’s market they are at the height of flavor right now. You can use frozen peaches too though if you can’t find any good ones in your area or you want to make this all year long. It is so simple, just peaches, almond milk, vanilla, and honey.
