Our house is not full of spectators. There is no Monday night football or college Saturdays. We are into a lot of things but generally sports is not one of them. That is until this summer’s fútbol matches roll around. Every four years our universe stops and fútbol becomes our familial nucleus.
This year I’m especially excited to be teaming up with Latina Mom Bloggers and Pampers to help bring Latino families and their babies together to honor two very important aspects of their lives: national pride and a love of fútbol. Just in time for the big fútbol game this summer, Pampers Latino is launching the Mi Equipo, Mi Herencia virtual stadium app and sweepstakes on the Pampers Latino Facebook page.
From now through July 15 you can upload photos of your little fans virtually cheering on their favorite teams fitted with your country’s colors. A million babies in a virtual stadium is a pretty freakin’ adorable, not to mention hysterical (I’m sorry/not sorry Hiro) but the best part is when you use the app you can also enter to win a year’s supply of Pampers diapers and wipes and I don’t know about you, but that would save me close to a million dollars.
Giveaway: Pampers has also been generous enough to give one lucky reader this incredible box ‘o swag that includes everything your baby needs to celebrate this summer’s fútbol. It includes a super cute onesie, an interactive soccer ball, a bilingual children’s book about Pele the King of Soccer, the most adorable baby soccer slippers, Fuleco, the fútbol mascot, and of course Pampers diapers and wipes. To enter, all you need to do is leave a comment below with ways you and your family celebrate your love of soccer and national pride. You can also have a second chance to enter by liking my Facebook page and leaving your comment there. All comments must be in by June 29, 2014 and I will select one winner at random from all the entries.
Of course I can’t leave you without an addictive snack to sustain you through all those hours of soccer you will be watching over the next couple of weeks. This spicy-sweet popcorn is just what you are going to want, it is whole grain, gluten-free, vegan, and actually pretty healthy for you. The spice mixture is loaded with flavor, the combination warms your tongue but just enough to make you want another handful and the best part is it takes about 10 minutes to make, ensuring you won’t miss any hot fútbol action.

So cute! My husband is a huge fan of soccer, played as a kid and even does intermural soccer now as an adult. It’s always on the TV on Saturday mornings at our house! We like to go to a nearby park where he can kick around a soccer ball and our 6 month baby girl and I will sit on a blanket and watch him. Thanks for the opportunity!
Popcorn is my favorite snack on earth and this variety is totally amazing- love the pictures!
I like to make popcorn with coconut oil, too. The spices sound delicious. We celebrate soccer by having friends over and making yummy snacks and drinks…like your popcorn. Thanks for sharing.
